Â鶹¸ßÇå's online neighbourhood planning toolkit
Â鶹¸ßÇå City Council was one of the Department for Levelling Up, Housing and Communities (DLUHC) neighbourhood planning pilot areas in 2022 to 2023.
The main aim of the pilot was to find ways of enabling less affluent areas to explore and develop a neighbourhood plan for their area, if they decide it is the right approach for them. This is an aim that Â鶹¸ßÇå City Council share with DLUHC.
As part of the pilot, Â鶹¸ßÇå City Council were funded by DLUHC to develop two Â鶹¸ßÇå specific toolkits:
- an internal toolkit for use by Â鶹¸ßÇå City Council planners – to share best practice, resources and know-how to ensure a consistent and positive approach to neighbourhood planning across Â鶹¸ßÇå City Council
- an engaging and practical online toolkit for residents and community groups to find out more about:
- neighbourhood plans and how to develop one in their area
- what support is available
- other communities in Â鶹¸ßÇå who already have a neighbourhood plan or are developing one
The toolkit called 'Local Visions' has been developed by Â鶹¸ßÇå Â鶹¸ßÇå Matters in partnership with Â鶹¸ßÇå City Council, Locality, and Â鶹¸ßÇå communities involved in neighbourhood planning.
