Swimming

Saturday and Sunday times:

  11am to 12.30pm Splash swimming
  1.15pm  to 2.45pm Splash swimming
  3.30pm to 4.30pm Adult swimming
Sunday 8am to 9.30pm Adult swimming
  10am to 11.30am Splash swimming
  Midday to 1.30pm Splash swimming

Adult-only swimming

A session for adults only.

Fee: Free under the Be Active scheme.

Adult swimming lessons

Swimming lessons for adults.

Fee: Free under the Be Active scheme.

Adult and child swimming

These sessions are for adults with children aged 4 years and under.

Only up to 2 adults per child are allowed.

Fee:

  • Be Active card holders: free
  • Adults without a Be Active card: £6.60
  • Children without a Be Active card: £2.70

Splash swimming

Fun splash swim sessions.

We will not search for leisure card numbers or set up new leisure cards during Splash sessions.

Fees:

  • Children:
    • with a Be Active card: free
    • without a Be Active card: £2.70 per session
  • Adults with a Be Active card:
    • weekdays: free
    • weekends and school holidays: £6.60 per session
  • Adults without a Be Active card:
    • £6.60 per session

Be Active

The Be Active scheme allows free activity at certain times for residents who pay their Council Tax to us.

Safety

For a safe and enjoyable experience:

  • wash/sanitise your hands as you arrive
  • clean equipment with the sanitising wipes/sprays before and after use
  • use the lockers provided and do not leave belongings unattended - we are not responsible for belongings left unattended
  • do not bring belongings onto poolside
  • spectators are only allowed on poolside during programmed swimming lessons

Children

  • All children under the age of 8 should always be accompanied in and out of the water by a parent/carer during un-programmed swimming sessions.
    These are any sessions that are not the direct control or instruction of a group organiser, class teacher or coach.
  • A parent/carer over 16 years old can accompany up to a maximum of 2 children.

From Monday 21 July to Friday 29 August 2025, the swimming programme is different from our usual timetable.
