Tackling food waste
Statistics show that the UK alone wastes 1.9 million tonnes of food each year.
It is clear that we can all make a difference in the way we shop and eat.
In an effort to combat the growing issue of food waste, organizations and tech companies are creating easy-to-use food waste apps.
These apps help people, such as consumers and restaurant owners, produce manageable volumes of food with less surplus and rescue food that would otherwise go to waste.
