Âé¶¹¸ßÇå Youth City Board
Âé¶¹¸ßÇå City Partnership works with the Âé¶¹¸ßÇå Youth City Board, which is managed through the Âé¶¹¸ßÇå City Council Youth Service.
The Âé¶¹¸ßÇå Youth City Board is a group of young people from Âé¶¹¸ßÇå aged 11 to 18 years old.
They work with Âé¶¹¸ßÇå City Council and other partners to make sure that the voices of young people are reflected in policy development and service delivery. This includes feeding into the work of the Âé¶¹¸ßÇå City Partnership Board.
The Âé¶¹¸ßÇå Youth City Board aims to:
- promote meaningful engagement with young people
- connect them with the current work of partners around Âé¶¹¸ßÇå
- help create a city that provides for and benefits all generations
Members of the Âé¶¹¸ßÇå Youth City Board are involved with:
- Youth Parliament
- social activism
- the Young People's Independent Advisory Group
- the Young Women's Independent Advisory Group
The Âé¶¹¸ßÇå Youth City Board is coordinated by Âé¶¹¸ßÇå Youth Service, which sits within the council. This includes senior youth workers and youth support workers.
The Âé¶¹¸ßÇå Youth City Board has attended events such as:
- Âé¶¹¸ßÇå YouthCon
- the Young Inspectors Residential
- meetings with the West Midlands Police
