About the building safety team (BST)

The building safety team (BST) is at the forefront of ensuring the safety of our residents.

The building safety officers (BSOs) are tasked with implementing the Building Safety Act 2022, and play a critical role in ensuring the compliance of all our homes.

This commitment is reinforced by the findings and recommendations of the Grenfell Tower Inquiry, which guide our efforts in preventing such a disaster from happening again.

Through diligent oversight and adherence to these enhanced safety protocols, the BST aims to protect residents and restore trust in building safety.

The role of our building safety officers (BSOs)

Our BSOs:

  • conduct frequent inspections to spot safety issues and help residents feel safe in their homes
  • attend resident events to make sure every resident is heard

The team also supports Tenant/Resident Management Organisations (TMO/RMOs) and council business areas to look at ways to:

  • encourage resident participation
  • build trust and transparency

Report a fire or structural concern

We have introduced a new reporting system to make it easier for you to share any fire safety or structural concerns in your high-rise building.

In all of our medium and high-rise blocks you will find a purple poster with a QR code. The code will take you to a short reporting form.

To report a concern:

  1. scan the code with your mobile phone
  2. fill in the form with your contact details and the the type of concern you want to report
  3. submit the form

Download more information about the new reporting system and how to use it

You can also use the following link to access the form:

The new system does not replace the normal process for reporting repairs.
