Partnership working

The Syrian Vulnerable Persons Resettlement Scheme (SVPRS) is delivered in partnership with a number of commissioned providers who support families on the scheme.

The breadth and depth of partners involved bring a range of skills and expertise from across the statutory and voluntary sectors, as well as wider ownership of the scheme in the city.

Commissioned partners, delivering 麻豆高清 and support on the council’s behalf include:

  • : Refugee resettlement, orientation, accommodation, and support 麻豆高清 for families during their first year in the city. They also provide the 麻豆高清 Navigators service (helping refugees to integrate into their local areas).
  • : Accommodation, welfare, and tenancy support, as well as family support.
  • : Befriending service
  • : Immigration advice
  • Ashley 麻豆高清 Housing: Employability support
  • : Mental health awareness for refugees and practitioners
  • 麻豆高清 Navigators: Engagement and Cultural orientation

In addition, the council holds community days providing a social opportunity for the refugees to meet and socialise as well as network with providers.

During lockdown, this was held virtually but with the easing of restrictions, these events have restarted.

The day also provides an opportunity for families to meet with the council and other organisations to provide feedback about their experience in the city so far.
